Ever since her breakout debut on Empire‘s first episode, belting out “What Is Love” to an on-looking Luscious Lyon and Annika, V. Bozeman has been a breath of fresh air.

The Timbaland protégé, known for her fierce buzz cut and gorgeous chocolate skin, is dynamite talent, releasing new bouts of music and keeping adorning fans in anticipation for her new album.

“You Can’t Break Me,” featuring Tyrese, fresh off his Black Rose album release, is vocal gold; a powerful ode to perseverance and self-worth: “You can’t break me / Cause you didn’t make me.”

With powerhouse vocals, the California native is buzzworthy. The 28-year-old, who grew up in South Central, oozes star power, and with super-producer Timbaland co-signing her, her future is bright. With a re-occurring role on Empire as Veronika, Bozeman connects to her character, telling AXS:

“I’m just so connected to her because this whole series, it’s so authentic in the portrayal – in the characters, in the situation, in the industry itself. This girl is so determined to reach her goals as a successful singer in the industry, and no one can stand in the way, and that’s what I relate to.”

Her first solo venture, Music Is My Boyfriend, does not have a release date. But we’re patiently waiting. Bozeman got next.
