Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley released their debut album In Search Of…, nearly 15 years ago. The trio, who named themselves N.E.R.D., made hits for the likes of JAY Z, Nelly, N’Sync, Britney Spears and almost every other superstar on the planet. The group created songs that fit their own musical desires, rather than making what other artists or radio wanted. For that reason their music still dominates the charts and lives in the hearts of millions of fans 15 years later.

Recently GRAMMY nominated collective The Internet served up a beautiful rendition of the seductive single “Tape You,” one of the many hit singles off In Search Of… to pay homage to N.E.R.D, said to be one of their biggest influences. Combining keyboard riffs, synthesized organs, and live drums, The Internet put a smooth twist to the 14 year old hit.
