U.S. R&B singer Ne Yo and Canadian pop icon Nelly Furtado were called on to sing their country’s national anthems at this year’s NBA All-Star Game in Toronto, but the Canadian-born Portuguese Furtado, accompanied by a first nations flute player, got off to an unmelodic start, appearing to sing the song to a totally different tune. Basketball fans and Canadian nationals alike tore Nelly a new one about her singing on Twitter with gifs and memes galore. Check out her performance below.
