After the infamous scuffle with the team’s trainer in which he broke his hand, it looks like Blake Griffin‘s trade rumors have finally been laid to rest.

According to Los Angeles Clippers coach Doc Rivers, the Clip Show plan to keep Blake on their roster. Rivers told Los Angeles Times writer Ben Bolch that “Blake is ours, and he’s going to stay ours.” This comment came off as mildly shocking since Griffin has been mentioned in NBA trade rumors all week involving teams like the Denver Nuggets, Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics, who have all expressed some sort of interest in making a deal for the 5-time NBA All-Star.

Grffin was able to speak briefly on the incident with the Clippers’ trainer for the first time, and apologized for his poor behavior. The former Slam Dunk champ went on to say, “I exercised poor judgment. … It’s something I feel awful about. That’s something I think about every day and I wish I could take it back.”

As Thursday’s trade deadline draws near, the Clippers have another player in mind they’d like to make a deal for. According to sources, they are willing to send guard/forward Lance Stephenson to Orlando for veteran forward Channing Frye. Only time will tell if L.A. is willing to make that deal happen, but adding the former first-round pick to the roster will open up the floor, and allow Doc to use Frye to create mismatches.
