This weekend R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo made it official with fiancée Crystal Renay by tying the knot in an intimate ceremony. The two had been dating for a year prior to sealing the deal, and are currently expecting their first child together.
According to reports, the two did the deed Saturday [February 20,2016] among family and friends near Los Angeles. Noticeably absent from the festivities were Ne-Yo’s children from prior relationship with Monyetta Shaw.
Prior to the festivities kicking off, Renay took to Instagram to express she was thinking of the little ones despite them not being able to be in attendance, and that she was looking forward to becoming a family unit.
Before the duo exchanged vows, Ne-Yo told People, “We can’t wait to start our life together. We’re looking forward to just being each others’ best friend.” The singer who’s never been married before but was seriously involved with ex Shaw for years, shares, “This is big for me. I’m not doing this again, so I’m happy that my family and friends are able to be there to share this moment with us.” He continues, “We’re human beings, so we’re gonna bump heads on different things, but we’ve agreed this is gonna be a marriage that lasts.” Congrats to the happy couple!
