French Montana released his new, star-studded Wave Gods mixtape over the weekend, featuring Kanye West, Nas, Diddy and more, but he chose to revisit his popular 2015 single, “Off The Rip,” for a remix video featuring A$AP Rocky.
The original record featured late Coke Boys capo Chinx and NY legend N.O.R.E., and was one of the last major records Chinx was featured on before his tragic murder in the Spring of last year. The remix’s feature, Rocky, is also no stranger to losing a close collaborator of his, as A$AP Mob founder A$AP Yams passed away just over a year ago. Both NY rappers pay homage to their fallen comrades in the above music video, which serves as another notch in French’s buzz belt as he gears up to finally release his sophomore album, Mac & Cheese 4.
