Stephen Curry took some time out of his pre-game routine to surprise a very young fan Wednesday, one in whom gave a 4-year-old boy an unforgettable moment of his life.
The reigning NBA MVP and warriors star spent some time with Shawn Kennedy a young kid from Niagara Falls, New York about an hour before the Warriors would play the Miami Heat. Curry gave the young kid a pair of sneakers that he wore for warm up’s with the signature “Keep being brave,” on the kicks. He even took Shawn and his brother into the Warriors’ locker room to meet other players from the warriors. Shawn was born with a rare brain cancer called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma.
“I didn’t expect anything like this,” said Nicole Vathy, Shawn’s mother. “He’s going to go home and talk about this all day. He really is. He’s not going to stop talking about it.”
