Kevin Garnett has a reputation as one of the most notorious trash talkers in the NBA, and over the span of his career, he’s been a nightmare for many an opponent, most notably Carmelo Anthony, who appeared ready to tear Garnett’s head off during a Knicks vs Celtics match-up in 2013.
According to this Instagram video, even when Garnett’s not on the court, he’s terrorizing opposing players with profane outbursts. During a game against the Pelicans in New Orleans on Saturday, Pelicans guard Eric Gordon missed a sideline jump shot right in front of the Wolves bench, and after the shot bounced off the rim, Garnett screamed out “trash a** n***a,” likely loud enough for Gordon to hear, though it was unclear if he did.
For those thinking that as Garnett eases his way into retirement he’s going to soften the verbal blows, think again.
