Atlanta rapper and OVO rep ILoveMakonnen is planning to release his new album, Drink More Water 6, this Friday, March 18, and he’s continued to tease the project with loosies over the last couple weeks. From “Sellin'” to “Live For Real,” Makonnen has spread his positive vibes and increased physical and mental health awareness jams all over, and he continues today, as “Solo,” a new release from Makonnen which was selected as Beats1 Radio’s Zane Lowe’s “World Record” today.
It’s been just under a year since the release of Makonnen’s Drink More Water 5–which sported popular cuts like “Whip It (Remix)” and “No Ma’am,”–and even less time since the release of ILoveMakonnen 2, the follow-up to his 2015 EP. With an output this consistent, it’s reasonable to believe that we could be getting Makonnen’s debut album sooner than later.
