Losing Florida was Senator Marco Rubio‘s worst nightmare in this election race, and he must now consider whether he continues his bid. There were 214 delegates at stake for the Democrats, and 99 delegates at stake for Republicans. Florida is a winner-take-all state for the Republicans.

This victory by Hillary Clinton adds to the ongoing challenge Bernie Sanders faces as he pushes forward for the Democratic nomination, with his chances looking slimmer than ever. Clinton has also been projected as winning Ohio, while the state’s governor John Kasich looks to edge out Trump in his home state on the Republican side.
