At this point everything is a major key. But what these two geniuses have in store for the world is definitely something to be on the look out for. DJ Khaled and Kendrick Lamar recently hung out at a Los Angeles Clippers game. Khaled then uploaded a picture of him and K. Dot to Instagram quoting: “stay tuned for the Khaled Kendrick anthem.”
Not to mention, last month Khaled uploaded a snap hinting that something huge was in the works. Khaled recently visited L.A. radio station Power 106 and shared some news about the two possibly joining forces for an anthem. Skip to the 8:52 mark to listen to him discuss working with Kendrick.
“I am talking to Kendrick Lamar about an anthem that I want him on,” said Khaled. “He waiting on me actually. I told him I was tweaking something, ’cause I want to present it where the mic just automatically comes on…I want to make sure it’s perfect.
The king of SnapChat seemed extremely focused and let Power 106 know this isn’t something that will come and go.
“Me and Kendrick been talking about it,” he added. “I’ve seen him a few times since I’ve been out here. I’ve been staying in touch with Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith. Shout out Top Dawg, always showing love, and the whole TDE. So, definitely expect something with me and Kendrick because I ain’t giving up. I’ma get that. I got to.”
After K. Dot blessing us with yet another project, untitled unmastered we wouldn’t be surprised if this new anthem with Khaled was next. Stay tuned for updates.
