FLOTUS Michelle Obama has been known to kick some rhymes, but for her new campaign she’s tapping the big guns.
In time for Women’s History Month, the First Lady has teamed up with Kelly Rowland, Missy Elliott, Zendaya, Lea Michelle, Kelly Clarkson and Janelle Monae for “This Is For My Girls,” an anthem celebrating the strength and resilience of ladies across the globe; while also lending a hand to those struggling to get a quality education. In addition to industry A-listers, the song also features newcomers Jadagrace and Chloe & Halle lending vocals as well.
The song was written by veteran songwriter Diane Warren and will be released in support of the First Lady’s Let Girls Learn movement and its #62MillionGirls initiative, a campaign purposed with helping the millions of preteen girls who are “denied the right to education” get in and stay in school.
