Back in 2014, ‘Ye plead no contest to misdemeanor battery charges related to the assault, but now he’s hoping for a fresh start.

Yeezy was placed on 24 months probation and ordered 250 hours of community service after the incident, and he certainly did his part. He served more than his assigned hours at L.A. Trade Tech’s fashion school, and has been pretty great to the paps ever since.

A true change of heart, or just a man with a motive? No one knows. But it really looks like Kanye’s hoping to put the trouble behind him. He’s now eligible to have his record cleared and he’s already started the process of filing the necessary legal papers. No ruling has been made yet, but it is expected to go in his favor.
