Ronda Rousey’s mom just dropped a bomb about the UFC fighter’s heritage and it’s pretty lit.
TMZ caught up with the former champion in Los Angeles and asked her what was the last film she saw. She declined the interview, but her mother, Dr. Annamaria de Mars, was more than happy to answer the question:
Before His Time. It’s about my grandfather, Ronda’s great grandfather. They show it during Black History Month every year in Canada because he was one of the first black physicians in North America.
The documentary was about the life of Dr. Alfred E. Waddell, a Trinidadian doctor who immigrated to Canada and advocated for social change. That’s definitely a point of pride.
