Just in time for ‘Wavy Wednesday,’ A$AP Rocky has released a new track featuring Waka Flocka Flame. The weekly music releases have been a staple for the New York-based rap collective, A$AP Mob. A$AP Ferg and A$AP Marty previously released “I Don’t Care,” while Ferg also teamed up with Migos on “Trap Anthem.” This week, the rappers vetted for more down south talent with ATL’s own Waka Flocka Flame. “Goldie Mack” is the latest track streaming live across the internet.
“Goldie Mack” is about two-minutes long and well worth the listen. With lines like ‘Pretty Flacko and Flocka, b*tch / All eyes on me, 2Pacalypse,’ the A$AP Mob frontman is showing his metaphors and similes are packed with the same amount of punch he came in with. Over the two-minute span, the rappers touch on the real Goldie and his impact in the mack game, while showcasing their abilities on the mic. The rappers previously collaborated on the LongLiveA$AP song, “Pretty Flacko (Remix). “Goldie Mack” already has a whopping twenty-seven thousand listens.
A$AP Rocky is starting the year off in a powerful way. Last month, he released a song with Hip Hop powerhouse Pharrell titled “Hear Me.” A$AP is proving he can go bar for bar with any type of artist and make a hot track at the same time. Waka Flocka, who recently revealed his weight loss was a result of a vegan diet, is also showing diversity. The rapper just announced he’s performing on Warped Tour this year, a music festival known for exclusively having more rock-n-roll and punk rock-affiliated artists.
“Goldie Mack” was produced by the renowned 808 Mafia, and is packed with fire bars and old school inspiration. There hasn’t been any news on what project the track is featured on or when the full version comes out. While music lovers await G.O.O.D. Friday, ‘Wavy Wednesday’ is there to remove the hump-day blues.
