For many causal fans, there is nothing worse than a former player or older fan talking about the days of way back— ‘Michael Jordan would destroy LeBron James‘ or ‘the kids today don’t know fundamentals if it hit them in the face’ and so on.

Considering the Golden State Warriors are five games away from eclipsing the 1996 Chicago Bulls’ 72-10 regular season record, it’s no surprise a member of that particular Bulls team and elder statesman thinks the Warriors wouldn’t stand a chance against them. Who could that player be? None other than Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen.

Pippen thinks the Warriors would get swept, huh? Obviously, the game has evolved since that season and the three-pointer sure wasn’t a point of emphasis for any teams—period. Not saying they couldn’t stop them, but it’s possible it isn’t as easy as Pippen thinks.

Pippen thinks he can cover and keep Steph Curry under 20, while Jordan would guard Klay Thompson. Too bad we can only see this in video games.
