Iverson has been a Reebok athlete his entire career, but he was wearing Air Jordan “Cement IV” shoes as he sat down with the SportsCenter crew this morning, which was naturally a bit awkward for folks with knowledge of his endorsement with Reebok.

However, Iverson quickly took to Instagram to dispel any possible rumors that he’s carelessly stepping out on his relationship with Reebok, who are responsible for his best-telling “Question” and “Answer” sneaker series. The newly-minted Hall of Famer was merely paying respect to Michael Jordan, who he attributes much of his basketball inspiration to.
