Kobe Bryant has six games left in his vault before his NBA career is over. Nike will be releasing an Nike “XI EM” inspired by Kobe’s high school, Lower Merion High, where the Black Mamba made a name for himself around the country. He would go on to be drafted straight out of that high school to the NBA, and the rest is history. The sneaker will honor the Philly high school by adding its team colors and “aces” logo on the right heel.
Small features incorporated into the shoe will include a colorway contrasted within a cool grey upper, team red and Wolf grey. This particular model will reflect the fly-knit upper instead of the Hyperfuse, which is a longtime favorite for Nike, but not as big as the fly-knit which has become a sensation around the country.
Nike reports that the shoe will release on April 9. Check out detailed images of Kobe “XI EM” below.
