Pharrell Williams has kept himself immersed in Hip Hop culture for almost two decades. The man of many hats recently sat down with former N.E.R.D. co-producer Chad Hugo, singer Justin Timberlake, and rapper Tyler The Creator on his Beats1 Radio show.

Williams celebrated his 43rd birthday yesterday [Tuesday, April 5] despite his youthful looks. The Hip Hop veteran sat down for about an hour and a half to talk music and much more with the talented bunch. The radio show is broadcast on Apple Music and has been running since the beginning of this year.

So what do some of entertainment’s heavy-hitters do when they get together? Talk about other heavy hitters, of course. The OTHERtone interview consisted of the men chopping it up about A Tribe Called Quest, Justified, Andre 3000 and The Neptunes.

Pharrell’s newest venture is impacting the big screen. He’s vetted to produce and write for Fox 2000’s Hidden Figures. The drama will star Taraji P Henson and Octavia Spencer. Last year Pharrell also produced the Sundance hit Dope. Pharrell’s title includes overseeing all musical elements for the movie and soundtrack.
