Lamar Odom is back healthy and on his feet, which is cause for celebration all-around. The once troubled former NBA star was found unconscious on the floor of a Nevada brothel in October, after which doctors reportedly found “virtually every drug imaginable” in his system. Following treatment and a couple scares that thankfully amounted to nothing, Odom has been seen up and out this year, first at Kanye West‘s The Life of Pablo listening party at Madison Square Garden, and more recently at the final game of Kobe Bryant‘s career in Los Angeles, where Odom was briefly interviewed by a sideline reporter for Entertainment Tonight.

During the interview, when the reporter asked Odom what’s next for him, Odom flatly replied “to get back on the court,” hinting at a possible return to professional basketball. He continued on to say, “I still got it,” which is certainly possible. Odom has been in the league since 1999, but is just 36-years-old, and last averaged 20 minutes a game for the Los Angeles Clippers in 2013. Though he’s three years removed from that, there’s no telling what the right strength and conditioning training can do for him. Who knows, he could be a serviceable player for a couple years for a team in need of veteran leadership. Whatever happens, it’s good to have him on his feet again.
