Drake is truly following in the footsteps of some of the greats by launching his own liquor line, Virginia Black whiskey.
Although the initial announcement was made via Drake’s Instagram last month, Drake has officially made his grand entrance into the liquor business by partnering up with renowned spirit maker Brent Hocking for the arrival of his Virginia Black whiskey.
Despite no release date, Drake seems to be lining up the launch of Virginia Black with the release of his highly anticipated fourth studio album, Views From the 6. After releasing the official look of the exclusive brand, he dropped a video preview via his Instagram page on Friday [April 15].
In an exclusive statement sent to Billboard, the duo said their mission statement for bringing the decadent American whiskey to the masses is simple: “We believe everyone should have access to glamour, swagger and soul. Virginia Black grants them that access, allowing people to embody the lifestyle always, not just on special occasions.”
