Empire stars Trai Byers and Grace Gealey have officially jumped the broom.
Byers, 32, who plays Andre Lyon, the oldest son of Cookie and Lucious Lyon, exchanged ‘I dos’ with co-star and girlfriend Grace Gealey, who plays Anika Calhoun on the hit series.
This past July, Byers proposed to Gealey on her 31st birthday. Prior to their engagement, rumors circulated for months of a relationship between the two. Gealey confirmed the engagement in October, when she visited FabLife hosted by Tyra Banks and Chrissy Teigen. She reveled her opinion about mixing business and pleasure, and how to have a successful and mature relationship with a co-worker whether or not it works out.
“You have to have the maturity to say that if it doesn’t work out, youre not going to you know, throw staplers.”
She went on to assure the audience, as well as the hosts, her relationship was “for real, for real. Not a fling.”
The couple reportedly wed in a private ceremony on Grand Cayman Island last Thursday [April 14]. According to Daily Mail, the guest list was very limited and did not include their Empire co-stars.
