Singer John Legend and wife Chrissy Teigen welcomed their daughter Luna Simone Stephens into the world April 14, 2016. The couple became a household name over the past few years for their upbeat relationship and public displays of affection. They shared the news of their daughter’s arrival via their Instagram and Twitter pages Thursday [April 14, 2016].

Teigen revealed the first picture of the newborn on Instagram.

The couple raised awareness to IVF procedures for men and women after undergoing the treatments to conceive. In an interview with People, Teigen revealed what the process was like. “Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ‘Let’s put in the girl. I think I was most excited and allured by the fact that John would be the best father to a little girl. That excited me,” she explained.
Teigan and Legend went through an almost flawless pregnancy. Teigan released her book Cravings and hosted the TV show Lip Sync Battle during her term. To no surprise the world can expect to see much more of Luna in the near future. “We’re not going to go out of our way to hide because obviously it’s such a big part of our lives to show everything: the inside of our homes, my parents living with us, our animals, everything,” the then-pregnant star revealed to People. “I’m not going to do sneaky back shots of her or anything.”
