Former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star, Tatyana Ali, 37, recently announced she is expecting her first child with her fiancé, Dr. Vaughn Rasberry. While bearing new life is one the happiest times, Ali has a wedding to plan that will take place later this summer as well.
The actress spoke to PEOPLE to discuss how she’s been dealing with planning her wedding and staying healthy for her baby.
“It’s pretty amazing. There’s so much good. We feel so blessed. We’re just having fun enjoying our family and our friends and that’s what we want the wedding to be about – just have a good celebration.”
In order to limit the unnecessary stress while planning her wedding, Ali discloses she can’t take the planning process too seriously.
“Because I am expecting, I can’t feel too stressed out…. Things will fall into place. I have a great wedding coordinator. The stressed out part—I can leave that aside.”
The couple has recruited Michael Russo, one of the country’s leading wedding planners and lifestyle experts, to coordinate their big day. As they allow their wedding plans to fall into place, Ali reveals that as a couple they’ve been wondering who their bundle of joy will be. Something that will not be discovered until the baby’s grand entrance into the world, however, Ali confirms they are “ready for the adventure.”
Ali is preparing for her newest role in TV One’s original thriller, Second Sight, which has become a challenge for her. According to People, Ali explains “every scene, a child foes missing. Someone’s baby has been abducted and that’s very heavy,” she adds. That part is difficult.”
