J Dilla‘s everlasting legacy in Hip Hop has garnered a new Madlib produced track that features Nas. The song was previewed at Mass Appeal’s SXSW showcase this year during Nas’ set. The song is on the album titled The Diary which was released this month by Mass Appeal. Along with Nas and Madlib, the album also features Snoop Dogg, Pete Rock, and Bilal. The album has never before released music and production from J Dilla.
“The Sickness” is one of the standout singles on The Diary. The song has raw lyrics in true Dilla fashion. Nas comes through with rhymes that compliment Dilla’s flow. The lost vocals on the song are some of the cherished material J Dilla left behind after passing in 2006.
I got the MJ disease cause n*ggas wanna be me, if I spit anything, it’s gonna he heat.
