Veteran MCs working on joint projects is nothing new, as we’ve seen D-Block and Wu-Tang and many others collab on albums. Havoc of Mobb Deep and Alchemist will next release a joint project titled The Silent Partner on May 20.

The Babygrande Records release will feature both artists, who’ve worked previously on classic Mobb Deep records, as well as Cormega and Prodigy. Having leaked their first single “Maintain (F*ck How You Feel)” back at the beginning of April in anticipation of the project, they also released the tracklist and cover art.

Yesterday they released a new song featuring Method Man titled “Buck 50s and Bullet Wounds” over a piano driven, bed of samples produced by Alchemist. Havoc and Meth give a tutorial of classic boom-bap thugged out rhyming over the somber beat.
