Chance The Rapper is set to be the musical guest on the May 5th episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon while the rest of the world patiently awaits the release of his third solo mixtape. Chance, who is still not signed to a major or independent label, became the first independent artist to perform on Saturday Night Live in December, then reappeared on the show just two months later alongside Kanye West, The Dream and Young Thug. Chance also appeared on Stephen Colbert‘s new late night show earlier this year, where he debuted his recent “Angels” single, featuring Chicago emcee Saba.

There are rumors that Chance will be debuting more new music during his time on Fallon next week, which would be welcomed with open arms. Chance teased at a recent pop-up show in New York City that his new project is coming very soon, and this appearance suggests that it’s right on the horizon.
