ESPN’s Arash Markazi mentioned the LA Clipper said it’s a “50-50” decision on whether or not he will retire. Apparently, he wanted to avoid making an emotional decision following elimination.

The Clippers started off strong with a 2-0 lead against the Portland Trail Blazers. However with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin benched by injuries, Portland tied up the series and eventually won in game seven.

Pierce had the least productive season of his career and averaged only 1.2 points and 1.2 rebounds in the series. The 10 times All-Star only shot 16.7 percent from the floor in five appearances, including one start, according to Bleacher Report.

The 38-year-old is under contract for two more seasons. He’s scheduled to have a cap hit slightly over $3.5 million both years, with his 2017-18 salary only partially guaranteed, reports Sportrack.

If Pierce decides to walk away, Hall of Fame will be right around the corner, Chris Mannix of Yahoo Sports declares.
