One of Hip Hop’s most historic record labels, Roc-A-Fella Records enjoyed much success in the late 90s and early 2000s but things soon soured as co-founders Jay Z and Dame Dash parted ways in a highly publicized debacle. The two have never formally discussed the reasoning behind the breakup of the label, which occurred during the mid-2000s. As recently as last week, former Roc-A-Fella Records artist Memphis Bleek appeared on N.O.R.E.’s Drink Champs podcast and shed some light on an argument he had with Dash aboard a private jet, forewarning him of what was to come.
