The retirement of legend Kobe Bryant was the end of an era. Everyone tuned in to witness the final game of his historical run. Several celebrities purchased courtside seats to watch the action up close and personal while others watched from home.
R&B singer R. Kelly, however, watched from a tiny television screen in an empty white room and became the Twitter trending topic for hours.
According to Fox Sports, weeks after Bryant’s final game, the criticism seemed to still bother the singer so much that he stopped his concert in Chicago to rewatch the highlights from Bryant’s farewell game on a 50-foot screen while sitting back in a brown leather recliner.
The pied piper of R&B made a point to respond to those who clowned him for his laptop-sized television. For future reference, if it were ever a question whether or not celebrities read the negative comments they receive on social media, the answer is apparently, “Yes, they do.”
