At the top of the year, when the conversations about 2016’s breakout stars were running rampant, did you see Desiigner coming? Well, he’s here, and the wins continue to rack up for the Brooklyn native, who scored his first-ever #1 hit last week when “Panda” dethroned Rihanna‘s perennial “Work” atop the Billboard Hot 100.
The music video for the song, featuring the man that helped propel Desiigner’s career in February, Kanye West, was released earlier this week, and the victory lap continues as the rapid-fire spitter took the Late Show with Stephen Colbert stage last night to perform his high-octane single.
We’ll also be hearing a lot more from Desiigner moving forward. His debut album is reportedly being executive produced by Kanye West and Travi$ Scott‘s sonic architect, Mike Dean, and with the backing of G.O.O.D. Music, there’s no limit to the amount of splashes this kid could make this summer.
