In March of this year, PARTYNEXTDOOR came out of hiding from producing tracks to bless us with one of his very own. “Come See Me” featuring Drake has been quite the success. The OVO artists released a video to the song a little over a month ago that has garnered over three million views.
Erykah Badu obviously appreciated the OVO sound just as much as we did, if not more. Badu took to Twitter yesterday [May 12] to let her followers know new music would be released on her Soundcloud today. She added, “This one is for the Class of 2016. Y’all ready?”
Sure enough, today Badu released a remixed version of PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “Come See Me.” Badu mixed grace with seduction for a sound so sexy we wish she was on the original version. She added vocals and adlibs over Party’s second verse while making the first verse South Dallas exclusive by naming street names from her native city.
