Controversial Tweeter, Azealia Banks, has been in the news most recently for her racist comments towards former One Direction member, Zayn Malik. The offensive Twitter rant ignited an argument on the site between Banks and 14-year-old Disney star, Skai Jackson, as well as Banks’ suspension from the site. Banks was also dropped as the headliner of London’s Rinse|Born & Bred Festival.

Since the social media fiasco, however, Banks has decompressed and apologized—not only to Malik for her racial remarks, but also to the world.

“Now that the immediacy of the infamous incident has worn off, I’ve had sometime to decompress and take more a rational assessment of things. I want to extend my sincerest apologies to the world,” the rapper wrote on Instagram.

“Employing racial/sexist slurs/stereotypes in attempt to make fun of or degrade another person or group is absolutely unacceptable and is not fair or fun for anyone,” she added. “Allowing my anger to get the best of me, I’ve managed to insult millions of people without reason. And for that I give my deepest apologies.”

Banks is known for her offensive or negative remarks. Her talent seems to hide beneath the continual hate and anger she constantly spews out on social media. Frankly, it seems like she hired a team to do damage control because her mouth has messed up her money. Hopefully, a positive change shows in Banks in the future since she taking responsibility for her actions.
