Ellen Degeneres isn’t your typical talk show host. The mega-popular personality dances before, during and after tapings, pulls viral Vine stars off the internet to appear on her episodes, and orchestrates backstage pranks in which Hall of Fame basketball players offer sweat to make-up artists. Drake fell victim to another one of Ellen’s antics during a recent taping of his episode of Ellen–which airs today–resulting in him nearly jumping out of his chair due to sheer fright.
Ellen was in the middle of reminiscing about a boy she sent to the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game in Toronto this past February to toy with Drake, Kevin Hart, and several of the other celebrities that were present. Drake, who didn’t know at the time that the boy was Ellen-sent, engaged with him, and did a brief dance routine with him after the game in a clip that has since gone viral. Not long after Drake suggested that the boy could be in an adjacent box on the set, an unidentified man came flying out of the box, scaring Drake so much he screamed and nearly jumped out of his seat.
