Since breaking through with the emergence of Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q as mainstream stars in the early 2010’s, Top Dawg Entertainment has been one of the premier labels and brands in Hip Hop culture, producing top tier releases in both the Rap and R&B genres, racking up Grammy Award nominations in the process.
The West Coast-based label will look to continue that trend with the signing of Lance Skiiiwalker, an R&B singer from Chicago whose addition to the team was teased by every current TDE member on Twitter earlier this month. He’s already appeared on a couple recent TDE albums–Jay Rock‘s 90059 and Kendrick Lamar’s untitled unmastered.–but today he’s unleashed a new bit of solo work.
Below, you can stream his new single, “Speed,” the first official teaser for his forthcoming solo debut, Introverted Intuition. Skiiiwalker marks the second singer to sign to the label, which added popular R&B and Soul singer SZA to its roster in 2013.
