Drama seems to follow presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump wherever he goes.
Enraged and aggressive protesters caused a scene outside a Trump rally Tuesday night [Tuesday, May 24] in New Mexico. A glass door to the convention center had been broken and there were reports of gunshots, but those were never confirmed. CNN reports anti-Trump protesters yelled out “F*** Donald Trump” and those doing so were mainly opposed of his position on immigration.
This presidential race has had its fair share of disorderly rallies, so the Albuquerque Police were better prepared this time around, as they kept protesters and supporters away from one another.
Chaos didn’t only occur outside of the rally, where fires were lit, and rocks were being thrown; but also inside. In fact, according to CNN reports, the only arrests that were made were from inside of the rally.
There seems to be a pattern of violence and outrage as it pertains to Donald Trump rallies. I guess that’s what comes with the territory of being such a controversial candidate.
The scene was said to have eventually calmed down, with only a few lingering and looking for more trouble.
