Some immediate notes: Russell Westbrook makes his first-ever All-NBA 1st Team, a huge accomplishment, especially considering the Thunder very nearly passed on him in the 2008 draft. Another, more eye-popping note: DeAndre Jordan, not DeMarcus Cousins, was the center named to the 1st Team, despite Cousins averaging nearly 14 more points per game than Jordan, who is considered to be solely a defensive threat, not an offensive one.

Paul George makes an impressive placement on the 3rd Team in his first year back from that gruesome leg injury, and a total of five combined players currently playing in the Western Conference Finals–Westbrook, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry–landed on either the 1st, 2nd or 3rd Team.
