Directly following the news he would be the only feature on Kid Cudi’s new album, Scott seemed slightly discouraged by the labels way of handling his music releases. He stated:

After expressing his frustration, Scott took to Twitter to release a new song titled “Pick Up The Phone” featuring Young Thug and Quavo from Migos. “Pick Up The Phone” is the first release from Scott’s forthcoming project, Birds Sing In The Trap McKnight. The release of “Pick Up The Phone” came with a fair warning it would possibly be taken down soon due to label complications.

Scott stated:

“THIS SONG WAS SUPPOSE TO GO TO ITUNES BUT LABELS ARE MAKEING THIS MORE COMPLICATED THAN IT ACTUALLY NEED TO BE THIS WAS GONA BE MY SINGLE BUT NOW IM GIVING A WAY FOR THE KIDS,” he explained. “P.S. THEY MIGHT TAKE THIS DOWN CAUSE THEY DONT WANT KIDS TO EAT.”

The song has since been taken down within a few hours of its release. We’re not quite sure of the details involving Epic Records and Travis Scott’s contract but we hope things can be worked out accordingly so new music can be released very soon.
