Boxing legend Muhammad Ali has died  at age 74. The three times heavyweight boxing champion who had a long battle with Parkinson’s disease was taken to a Phoenix area hospital on Friday [June 4], where he was being treated for a respiratory issue.

As tributes flooded social media, one user reminded us about the time a child asked Ali a question: what would the then 35 year old Ali do when he retired? Ali stunned the crowd when he provided the most thought provoking answer, consisting of  mathematical equations of how much sleep he needed and how the best thing he could do was to “get ready to meet God.”

Muhammad Ali was an eloquent, outspoken true champion, who was very open about his political stance and was actively involved in the promotion of peace and charity. He will not only be remembered for his boxing skills but for his unforgettable way with words.
