Long before Stephen Curry won two MVP awards, an NBA Championship, became the consensus greatest shooter ever or was even considered to be among the NBA’s best all-around guards, Drake put him in a rap. Ironically, it was Summer Jam day 2014, and in the middle of the main stage proceedings, the Toronto rapper dropped the Boi-1da-produced “0-100” on Soundcloud, on which he prophetically rapped, “I been Steph Curry with the shot / Still cookin’ with the sauce, Chef Curry with the pot boy / 360 with the wrist boy.” The Spurs won the NBA title a couple weeks after that song dropped. The two Finals match-ups since then have been, ostensibly, Steph Curry vs. LeBron James.

However, the “chef” prefix that Drake attached to Steph’s name is merely metaphorical. As far as Steph’s wife, Ayesha Curry, it’s very real. Mrs. Curry has become infamous on and off social media for her penchant for experimenting in the kitchen, and has been building her name on the culinary scene for quite some time. It was fitting that earlier this year, she announced that she would be starring in her own Food Network show, At Home With Ayesha, where you’ll be able to watch, and hopefully emulate, Ayesha quite literally serve up the meals of a champion.

All that being said, Ayesha Curry had herself a pop-up restaurant this weekend on the West coast, and by all indications, it was a huge success. The restaurant, dubbed International Smoke, was attended by both Mr. Curry and Drake himself, the true full-circle moment in the Drake and Chef Curry saga.
