Cornerback for the Denver Broncos, Aqib Talib was shot at V Live club in Dallas on Sunday [June 5] and is now in the hospital, according to CNN.
The reports state that the injuries are minor, as the NFLer is only suffering a leg wound. A source close to the victim said the injury was accidental.
Talib is staying in the hospital overnight, and Broncos VP of Public Relations, Patrick Smyth says he’s expected to be released today [Monday, June 6].
Although the shooter has yet to be identified, it is known that Aqib Talib was one of two people injured as a result of the altercation, per CNN.
This incident is not the cornerback’s first time being involved in the midst of legal matters; but hopefully considering the circumstances, it’ll be the last.
