Earlier today, French Montana was a guest on The Wendy Williams Show and gave details regarding his forthcoming album MC4, which is slated for a August 19 release, his new Calabasas home that was purchased from Selena Gomez and more. The pair even spoke on French’s invitation from Kanye West to appear at the New York City show that never occurred, which led to thousands packing the streets outside of Webster Hall.
At the end of the interview, things became a lot more serious when Williams asked French about the statements made by the late Chinx’s mother. Last month, the slain rapper’s mother shared that she has not spoken to French since her sons death and wanted answers. In his first time publicly addressing the comments, French had this to say:
“I think that’s the police job. I love Chinx mom but I don’t think we ever had a relationship. I never spoke to her when he was alive. I might have spoken to her one time. The second time I spoke to her was at the funeral and she asked me, ‘What’s going on with my son?’ I said I told him to stay out the streets, don’t be driving around 4 in the morning by yourself or with another person. She said you’re not his father. I said okay…”
