ABC News tweeted the report yesterday [Tuesday, June 7] saying, “West 33rd St. in NYC is renamed ‘Muhammad Ali Way’ in honor of the late boxing legend.”

Muhammad Ali’s death on Friday [June 3] came as a shock to the world. Deemed Sportsman of the Century by Sports Illustrated in 1999, Ali is known as one of the greatest boxers to ever live. Ali fought eight times at Madison Square Garden, most famously against Joe Frazier where he lost The Fight of the Century and won the next fight which determined who would match up against George Foreman.
