Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James has never been shy when it comes to voicing his opinion on current events. He wore the hoodie for Trayvon Martin, supported Eric Garner with a “I Can’t Breathe” shirt and was very outspoken on the tragedy of Tamir Rice. Now, with the Orlando gay nightclub massacre that claimed 50 lives early Sunday morning [June 12th], James, like the rest of America, was shocked, but had his say on the matter.

It’s another hit for us as Americans and what we have to deal with in our world today,” Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James said Sunday in offering condolences to the families who lost loved ones in the shooting.

“It definitely puts things in perspective on basketball for myself; it’s just a small matter of what reality really is,” James said. “My prayers to all the lost ones and all the ones that are recovering from this morning’s tragedy in Orlando.”
