When Kevin Love was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers during the summer of 2014, the excitement and expectations were at an all time high. With championship or fail expectations, his time in Cleveland has been rocky to say the least. From being often injured, even missing all of the 2015 NBA Finals, to having a hard time fitting into the Cavs offense, things seemed to have started to come together for him this season.

Love finally began to show flashes that he was getting acclimated to the Cavs offense and had strong outings for the franchise throughout the 2016 Playoffs, though he has been somewhat inefficient at times against the Golden State Warriors. During last night’s much needed game 5 win against the Warriors, the Cavs were rolling on all cylinders. Though the team was clicking on offense, LeBron James was not resting on his laurels. This was all the more evident in the first quarter when Love, obviously happy about what had just occurred, went for a high five from LeBron, only to be mercilessly yelled at.

His huge smile and excitement quickly faded as he lowered his hand and turned away when James let him have it. We don’t know whether we should laugh or feel sorry for good ol’ Kev.
