Following the tragedy in Orlando on Sunday [June 12] new details about the mass shooting have emerged.
It has been confirmed that 49 people died from the incident, and 53 people are injured. Pulse night club in Orlando, a popular gay club, was the setting of what is now the worst mass shooting in US history.
Regulars of the night club are now saying the gunman, 29 year old Omar Mateen, had been seen there several times before the shooting.
Although his motive is still unknown, Mateen did place a 911 call in which he pledged allegiance to ISIS. In similar news, he was also interviewed by the FBI twice and had even been on a terrorist watch list.
Sources say the gunman’s wide tried to talk him out of the attack, and at some point drove him to the Pulse nightclub. Authorities are now considering charging Mateen’s wife.
President Obama is set to be in Orlando on Thursday regarding Sunday’s terror.
