Lil Wayne has been in the headlines, unfortunately, due to his health scares recently. The tenured rapper suffered from at least one seizure earlier this week, but has returned to both stable condition and stage action thanks to guidance from doctors.
TMZ reported that it was excessive cough syrup consumption that put Weezy’s health in jeopardy, but the rapper’s camp refuted those claims, offering the explanation that Wayne thought he’d be okay without his epilepsy medication for a few days. (It was revealed in 2013 that Wayne suffers from epilepsy.)
Regardless, allow the Young Money founder to shake it off in his new video for “Skate It Off,” his ramp ‘n’ grind anthem, produced by Twice As Nice. As you know, it’s likely label issues and more drama with Birdman that’s preventing his long, long, long-awaited Tha Carter V album from being unleashed, so we’ll have to make do with loose cuts like this for the foreseeable future.
