Fines For Steve Kerr and Steph Curry, No Suspension For Curry Ahead of Game 7

Unsurprisingly, the NBA handed out $25,000 fines today [Friday, June 17] for both Steve Kerr and Steph Curry following the dramatic finish to game 6. Kerr was fined for his comments about the referees after game 6, and Curry was fined for throwing his mouthpiece after fouling out of the game.

Steph Curry picked up his 6th foul with 4:22 left in the 4th quarter last night and was not pleased with the call. After hurling his mouthpiece into the crowd, he was ejected from the game, capping the rough night for the Warriors.

Steve Kerr got his money’s worth in the post game conference, saying that three of Curry’s fouls were terrible calls, and called a referee out by name. Luckily for Kerr and the Warriors, the NBA was not seeking to suspend Curry for game 7 after his ejection in Cleveland.

Game 6 was just a bad night for the Warriors and the Curry family overall. Ayesha Curry was also making headlines before and after the game on Twitter, most notably claiming the game was rigged, and revealing that her father was profiled by stadium security at the game.

Game 7 is Sunday night at 8 pm EST on ABC, and it is sure to be a closely contested game.
