“Stop sittin’ like a chair and having your baby wonder where you are / Or who you are, fool.”
Rapper Ed OG‘s plea for parental responsibility, “Be A Father To Your Child,” was released in 1991 and became a call to action for Hip Hop fathers worldwide. Fast forward 25 years later and today, on Father’s Day [Sunday, June 19], we’re celebrating the amazing dads who step to the plate for their beautiful children.
The Source held an impromptu shoot this weekend and had our friends Jim Jones, Statik Selektah, Scram Jones, Termanology and Haddy Racks join Owner/Publisher L. Londell McMillan and Marketing Exec Barry Holland for portrait photos with their little ones to celebrate.
Happy Father’s Day to all the Hip Hop dads out there!
