YG‘s sophomore album, Still Brazy, is currently the talk of the town. With all eyes on him following the international splash he made with his major label debut, My Krazy Life, in 2014, the Compton rapper would have to build on that success to maintain his stardom. Though SB didn’t spawn the same commercial success single-wise as MKL, scores of people are oohing and aahing over the “Twist My Fingaz” rapper’s G-Funk-accented LP, despite the glaring absence of DJ Mustard, who was credited with a significant amount of MKL’s success.

To punctuate what’s been a helluva week for YG, he stopped by the infamous LA Leakers radio show on Power 106 to spit a freestyle. Generally, the primary criticism about YG is that he isn’t the sharpest emcee in the toolbox, and that his hooks and production often makes up for what he lacks in pure bars. This freestyle should put a damper on that notion, as the 26-year-old Bompton rep takes no prisoners.
